Not so much a Kitchen of Insanity album but nevertheless
the successor to Loser's Manual, the unofficial third
Kitchen longplayer.

The Laughing Academy is a mixed bag of both the familiar
and the odd; some of the material featured is funkier
and heavier than ever before - almost exotic at times...

Standing at the crossroads of their mutual career,
the band choose to take this slight detour along
a less inspired path. Prominent in the new approach is
the second singing voice by J.P., the newly recruited
bass-man.

All set aside, many of the songs featured here hold great
potential; they're well worth listening to and interesting
in their own right.
The backbone of this collection is formed by two standout
tracks: Moonlight and Masterthief.

The funny thing about my CDR copy of The Laughing Academy
are its bonus tracks...
Alternate takes and remakes of two Loser's Manual tracks
evoke the feeling of classic album CD reissue...
